What is GCM Choir
Founded alongside Goose Creek Memorial High School in 2008, the Goose Creek Memorial Choir has been committed to excellence in choral music, artistic growth, and school pride from the very beginning. As one of the school's premier fine arts programs, the choir provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop vocal technique, musicianship, leadership, and confidence through performance and collaboration.
The GCM Choir performs a diverse repertoire spanning classical, contemporary, gospel, pop, musical theatre, and multicultural music. Students regularly participate in concerts, community performances, UIL Concert & Sight-Reading, Region Choir auditions, Solo & Ensemble contests, and other special events that showcase their talents and dedication.
Throughout its history, the program has earned recognition for student achievement, including producing Texas All-State Choir students and numerous Region Choir qualifiers.
Today, under the direction of Mr. Joshua Johnlouis, the Goose Creek Memorial Choir continues to build on its tradition of excellence by inspiring students to pursue artistic achievement, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Whether performing on stage, serving the community, or representing the Patriot family in competition, GCM Choir strives to reflect the values of integrity, teamwork, discipline, and excellence.
